Summer's Ending
Green is turning to yellow,
Yellow turning to brown.
Fallen leaves are floating downstream,
The wetlands nearly dry.
Stalks and bushes are bowing under their weight,
Berries becoming plump.
The spiders have webbed up everywhere between,
Their prey fluttering everywhere else.
The apples in the orchard are plummeting downhill,
